The founder of San Clemente, CA, Ole Hanson created his ideal Spanish Village by the Sea. One feature he included were the now famous San Clemente red tile sidewalks. They are an integral part of our cultural heritage as Ole’s Spanish Village. Like Santa Barbara’s red Spanish style roof tiles, San Clemente’s red tile sidewalks are the city’s trademark. ARTO has played a part in maintaining this historic look by making custom concrete tiles to match the size and color of the original red tiles used by Ole Hanson.
